Chi Nei Tsang for the Thorax

Chi  Nei Tsang (which translates to ‘internal organ massage) was developed in ancient China for releasing tensions and stagnations in the internal organs. The Chi Nei Tsang practitioner uses refined palpation skills, focussed and specific massage movements, breath awareness, sensory awareness and internal sound vibration to help restore optimal functioning.

In this weekend workshop we will explore experientially the anatomy and mechanics of the breath and its interconnectedness with the vagus nerve, skin, soft tissue tonicity, organs and skeleton. We will practice different ways to release tensions in the nervous system via the eyes and skin, muscular system, skeletal system and digestive system to invite a full 3 dimensional breath throughout the body.

What does it feel like when our bones are breathing, our cells are breathing, when the breath is so unimpeded that the breath breaths itself?.

This workshop is open to massage therapists, acupuncturists and other health professionals.
