Module 6 Rest

This module explores the art of rest through the practice of the petite pause, guiding participants to settle fully into the body and the present moment. Using a combination of verbal guidance and subtle palpation, participants will learn to sense and regenerate the deep motility rhythms of the body—the intrinsic, self-generated movements that sustain life and promote balance.

Through guided exploration, students will develop the ability to notice where habitual tension interrupts these rhythms and learn techniques to invite relaxation and ease without effort. The class emphasizes experiential learning, helping participants cultivate awareness of the body’s subtle motions, enhance sensitivity to touch, and support others—or themselves—in accessing a state of profound rest. By the end of the day, participants will leave with practical tools for integrating the petite pause into their therapeutic or personal practice, and a deeper appreciation of rest as an active, regenerative skill.
